2010

Hi folks. Just checking in to let you know that I'm still alive! MBM was relatively quiet in 2009 as I took time out to research my family history. This has inevitably taken up a lot of my spare time and resulted in a large amount of inactivity around here. That research is still ongoing, but it is largely mapped out now so I can get back to sculpting miniatures. So what can you expect then? 2010 should see a Fir Tree Giant release, along with a Village Uprising pack of around 10-12 angry village tradesmen. Watch this space!

Willow Tree Giant now available to order

Finally the Willow Tree Giant has arrived! The 3rd in the Tree Giant series has a complex set of overhanging branches which out of neccessity forced my hand into purchasing two moulds - they would simply not all fit into one! Unfortunately this means that the price of this model will be a fraction higher than that of his predecessors, retailing at £18.95. Included in this price however is a clump of natural fern which makes for very realistic hanging appendages.

The official release date is 17th April, but you can now order it as usual from the product page.

Linden Tree Giant now available.

Fans of the Birch Tree Giant will be pleased to know that the Linden Tree Giant has been successfully cast.

So what do you get in the blister? Two legs, two arms, one head/torso, three head branches, and eleven leaf shoots which are placed randomly on the rear of the model.

Components

The model is 115mm tall and comes with a plastic 60mm diameter base. I wanted to move away from the metal scenic bases as it helps keep production costs down - probably wise given our current economic climate. Expect further Tree Giant models to also include a plastic base.

Retail price is £16.95

I'll also be adding an assembly and painting guide shortly to the Conversions section, so keep an eye out for that.

Birch Tree Giant back in stock.

An recent unforseen surge in sales of the Birch Tree Giant model left it temporarily out of stock. I'm pleased to say that they are now back ready for sale again. Sorry for any inconvenience caused during the interim period.
