Attacking Woodsman
This may look like a heavy conversion but actually isn't. Only two areas require puttying - the belly and right shoulder.
I changed the base completely so he is lunging over a rock instead of leaning on his tree stump. Obviously this rocky outcrop needs to be a similar height to the stump from the original base.
Cut 75% back through his belly, just above the rope belt. This will enable you to bend the model back to make him more upright. The resulting gap will need filling with Greenstuff.
The back foot was angled down a bit to make it look like he's stepping forwards, shifting the weight onto his front leg.
Cut off the right arm at the shoulder. File it off a bit so that it fits fairly naturally when repositioned reaching overhead. The gap under the arm will need filling with putty.
The left arm is already seperate, but I straightened it out slightly just by bending it. This was then attached overhead aswell.
The axe is also a seperate component so it is just a case of feeding it through the fingers of both hands.
Okay, so perhaps not a completely natural pose, but the desired effect is acheived with the minimum amount of effort.
