Isengard Diorama finished
The final video of Sharif Ishnin's impressive Isengard diorama featuring the Birch Tree Giant can be seen below.
Potential Shipping delays for US customers
A recent US customer unfortunately had to wait 5 weeks for their Majestic Bear products to arrive. I am hoping this was just an isolated case, as I haven't had any reports from my other US customers, but the reason is explained in the following announcement from Royal Mail:

Update 15th February 2011:
The United States Department of Homeland Security is continuing to require increased security measures for items carried on passenger airlines. As a result, some mail entering the US from around the world, and including the UK, that would normally be sent via passenger aircraft must now travel by other means, including ships and cargo planes.
Most items, including personal letters and cards, magazines, CDs, DVDs and lightweight packets, will be delivered in the US within a few days of posting. However, there are delays of about two weeks for some heavier packets.
Royal Mail is very sorry for these unavoidable delays. We have implemented a number of contingency plans to ensure as much of our customers’ mail reaches the US as quickly as possible and are continuing to work to minimise disruption to our customers, whilst ensuring we comply fully with the US directives and regulations.

Although the bulletin states two weeks delay, this is optimistic as best. They advise allowing up to six weeks for delivery before contacting the seller, but feel free to contact me if you have any concerns. Alternatively, if you would like to upgrade your shipping method to a more direct trackable service, this is available for an extra £4.90 on your order. Please email me if you would to upgrade your shipping method and I will send an amended invoice.
Important Pricing Announcement
After four years of trading I have had a good look at the books and reached a difficult decision. Either close down the site or put up the prices. I've only ever run on a net profit margin of 10%, but with both gradual and recent price increases to postage, packaging, base metal and VAT on all supplies, I am no longer breaking even. I am sad to have to do this because I know as a customer how frustrating it is when retailers put up prices but I came to the conclusion that a slightly more expensive option is better than no option at all. All products will be going up by £3-£6. Whilst this may sound a lot, please remember that since the site opened there have been no increases whatsoever. In fact some lines were actually reduced in price over that four year period. Apologies, and thankyou for your continued support. Freddy.
