The idea behind this big fella is that he is a skin-changer or poly-morpher, and the human alter ego of the Majestic Bear model. He will be deliberately sculpted larger than life as I envisage him to be about 9 or 10 feet tall. So in 28mm scale, he should end up at about 40mm.

In response to a query posted in the guestbook by JTR, the woodsman would logically have more cutting tools than just an axe. The sawn stump is in fact the chopping block for his firewood (which will be added to the base later). It is not the remains of a fallen tree which he has just felled, hence the reason it has no roots. Hope that helps clear things up for you.

The current pics show the sculpt at around 95% completion. Still a bit rough in places which require some final smoothing out.

For casting purposes I have removed his left arm. The large axe is also seperate to make converting the model easier if a more agressive pose is preferred. For the same reason, the hands are both sculpted open. A conversion article will appear on this site once I get some castings back to play with. I have also included five pieces of chopped firewood as I think they compliment the model base nicely.
  • Long beard
  • Relaxed pose
  • 40mm base
